Valerie is a distinguished executive leader with over 40 years of extensive expertise in Indian gaming, business development, and tribal economic diversification. Renowned for a proven track record in leadership, strategic planning, and advocacy, Valerie has consistently advanced policy influence and forged impactful partnerships that drive growth and innovation in Indian Country.

Currently serving as President of Trilogy Group Partners since 2017, Valerie leads consultancy services for Tribal governments on economic diversification and enterprise ventures. Under Valerie’s leadership, the firm has facilitated both national and international conferences and business-to-business collaborations, strengthening opportunities for Tribes and industry partners worldwide. As Chief Gaming Officer at Vetnos, Valerie has steered app development from design to market launch, orchestrated capital raises, and executed innovative user engagement strategies.

Prior to these roles, Valerie held influential leadership positions as Executive Director of the Arizona Indian Gaming Association, representing 18 Tribal governments and advocating for Tribal sovereignty, regulatory compliance, and coalition-building with state and federal entities. As owner of Gaming Strategies Group, Valerie advised Tribal governments and enterprises nationwide on economic and business development, including creating economic development corporations, negotiating gaming agreements, and maximizing business partnerships.

Earlier career highlights include executive roles with Viejas Enterprises, where Valerie directed national business expansion, product development, and enterprise diversification, as well as management positions at Travelers Express, Ceridian/Comdata Corporation, Global Cash Access, and American Express.

A sought-after international speaker and advisor, Valerie has also received multiple honors, including being named one of the “50 Most Influential Women” by AZ Business Journal, the “Great Women of Gaming – Proven Leader Award,” and one of the “Top 25 People to Watch” by Global Gaming Magazine.

Valerie’s professional affiliations and board service are equally impressive. Valerie has served as an Executive Committee Member and Special Advisor to the National Indian Gaming Association, where contributions included representing over 75 member businesses, developing national scholarship and business network initiatives, and co-chairing the seminal Harvard/NIGA Socio-Economic Impact Study. Valerie is also a founding chair of the Spirit of Sovereignty Scholarship Foundation and a founding co-chair of the American Indian Business Network.
