Who We Are
The founding members of Trilogy, having a combined experience of over 50 years in the gaming industry, having witnessed incredible growth and have experienced firsthand what it has taken for Tribes and their enterprises to get to where they are today. Personally playing an integral role in the protection and expansion of Tribal gaming and the business growth that surrounds it.
Valerie Spicer – Founding Partner, Chief Executive Officer
Valerie Spicer brings over 30 years of gaming experience to Trilogy, most recently as Executive Director of the Arizona Indian Gaming Association (AIGA) where she worked extensively in the Tribal, private and public sectors of the growing industry. As Executive Director of AIGA, Spicer managed the day-to-day operation of an organization that represents as many as 18 Tribal governments and their respective gaming facilities. During her tenure, she took the lead in charting a course to move the tribal government gaming industry in Arizona forward while also fiercely protecting it from competition.
Before taking the lead at AIGA, Spicer was CEO of Gaming Strategies Group where she promoted business development with Tribal enterprises, governments and consulted for Tribal and individually owned businesses. She was the Vice President and General Manager of Borrego Springs Bank in San Diego, California for five years, and worked to promote the Tribal enterprise structure for the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians. Spicer excelled with fortune 500 companies such as American Express, Ceridian, and Comdata Corporation in the areas of new business development, and customer service.
Sheila Morago – Founding Partner
Sheila Morago has over 23 years in Tribal Government Gaming. Currently she is contracted as the Executive Director of the Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association (OIGA) where she has organized and managed the office, directed the discussion of policy and regulation of Tribal Gaming with the 27 member Tribes as well as managed the largest regional gaming tradeshow in the country. Prior to OIGA Sheila was the Executive Director for the Arizona Indian Gaming Association (AIGA) for eight years, where most notably she lead the negotiations with the State in the successful 2003 Tribal-State Compacts. She has managed political and public relations for Tribal and Non-Tribal clients as Vice President of National Relations for a private firm, served as the central point of contact between the campaign staff, casino operators and the 17 Tribes, as well as managed the execution of campaign plan activities and voter outreach for the successful Statewide ballot initiative – Arizonans for Fair Gaming & Indian Self-Reliance. Sheila has worked as Director of Public Relations for the National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA) where she developed all political advertising programs, public information materials, press releases, articles, letters to the editor, speeches and congressional testimony for the NIGA Chairman and other Executive Committee members. She began her career in gaming as the Director of Marketing for the Gila River Casinos.
Eric Flores – Director, Business Development
Eric possesses 10 years of diverse business experience stemming from customer quality control, customer service, and business research. Having worked in and around the gaming industry for the whole of his career, in addition to critical time sensitive work for the healthcare industry, Eric adds a great dimension to the Trilogy team. As a Patient Care Coordinator for private healthcare enterprises, Eric utilized his skills in sales, and customer relations to ensure both his own standards of excellence, and profitability for the industry which he served were met. Applying these methods to all facets of his work, Eric will be utilizing these skills to ensure Trilogy clients not only secure robust placement in Indian Country, but will also be focusing on cultivating, and growing relationships. Eric brings his attention to detail and respectful customer interaction to the diversified business development of Trilogy Group. The focus of Eric’s efforts is toward growth and opportunity for Trilogy Group and its customers, targeting expansion of existing products and services along with growth into new markets.
